This was an emotional ride! Valerie is working a job she doesn't like, purely to pay for cancer treatment for her ill mother. Her job? Getting ranch owners to sell their properties so a pipeline can be built. When she steps foot onto Hollow Ranch, she meets the hugely stubborn owner, Denver. Denver doesn't plan to make this easy on her, and his refusal to sell causes Valerie problems of her own.

You just knew these two had a connection from the first meeting, and the chemistry between them was hot! I just loved them together. He's dark and damaged, she has her own insecurities, but together they just fit.

This story has drama, romance, intrigue, cowboys and family issues, all making for a great read. There's a bit of a cliffhanger ending - book two will be about Denver's brother, Mason - and I'm looking forward to it!
