Gray After Dark
by Noelle W. Ihli
5 Stars
Ummm… wow. I’m honestly a little speechless.
Gray After Dark completely consumed me. The fact that it’s loosely based on a true story? Absolutely chilling. Noelle W. Ihli has a terrifyingly good talent for tapping into real-life fear and turning it into something you can’t stop reading—even when your heart is racing.
From the first page, she had me in a chokehold. The tension builds in this eerie, creeping way that makes you second-guess everything. I kept thinking I knew what was coming... but I didn’t. When that thing happened? My stomach dropped and I literally stopped breathing for a second. I was completely wrecked—in the best way.
There’s this dark, emotional undercurrent through the whole book that makes it feel too real. And yet, it’s so addictive. I couldn’t focus on anything else until I finished.
And the ending? Listen, I always try to predict where a book is going—plot twists are my thing. But this one threw me completely off. I was dead wrong, and I LOVED being wrong.
Noelle W. Ihli is officially in my top 5 authors. Her writing is sharp, gripping, and just the right amount of disturbing. I’ll read everything she puts out, no hesitation.
