Blood Moon by David Clark

medium-paced

4.0

Maria Foster.. aka Raven Crowe, lives a life of solitude. She can make "friends" and go to school but that only lasts as long as her grandfather can solve whatever case he is working on and then they have to move, again. See, her grandfather is a vampire hunter and they can't stay in one spot to long or they get detected. This has always worked for Maria because she never allowed herself to get attached to anything or anyone. What would be the point....until they moved to Savannah, Georgia. Here she makes some good connections and starts to develop feelings for the ever mysterious Adrian Starling. Now Maria doesn't want to move on from this town and she is frantically trying to figure out how to stay. Well, she just might get her wish but not in the way she intended.
If you are a fan of Twilight this will be right up your alley, except no werewolves, that I know of yet, lol. Maria and Adrian remind me of Bella and Edward. The pace was good and some things you just figure out as it rolls down the line, which is fine for a little light reading. I can't wait to continue the story in the next book, 'Blood Tide'.
