The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson

5.0

Every time I reread this I forget how good it is, even after knowing the answer to the mystery. Larsson draws a very sharp line between the advantageous stalkers and assailants who are dotted about the story, and the consenting adults who know what they want, who are at its core. This is what makes Lisbeth and Mikael’s relationship so strong, as well as his relationship with Erika, and its also what makes them both some of the best written female characters I have ever encountered.
