Loved this! Felt like a warm hug. A lil angsty inside Avery’s brain, but still huggy (not a verb I’m sure). Just the whole camp-vibe was so nice and huggy. S’mores? Huggy. Hiking? Huggy. Elijah? Huggy. Cabins? Huggy. Lake? Huggy. Cold af waterfalls? Showers and kitchen pantries? Not very huggy. Hot as shit though.
Anywho, as mentioned; I loved this. Loved Kaleb, loved Avery. OOOO and it’s been like two years since I read Don’t You Dare and I’m SO glad I did a re-read before diving into this; it’s extra special to have the Avery-hate fresh in your mind to really get the redemption feels.
Also. Very proud of Avery. Lil Aves had a hard time being himself and I’m so happy for his journey. Blah blah blah, to sum up: loved it.
