Kiss Me Deadly by Jessie Thomas

3.0

An interesting take on supernatural romance. The idea of the necromancer is not a new one but I found I preferred Seraphina to Anita Blake or any other necromancers I've read.
She was flawed and funny but not to the point of opsurdity. She had real relationships with people that weren't based on sex or work and that all came together to make her a compelling character.
I also really enjoyed her interactions with the various ghosts. The rest of the characters were equally interesting. From Nate and Dev to Robert and Ellie and Rhys. The whole cast were just wonderful.
The action was gripping without heading to hire territory and the pace ran along steadily.
I do feel that her relationship with Nate leaped to romance a little abruptly, especially since this is book one, I think I would have preferred to draw it out a little.
That said it was a solid read that I enjoyed.
