Better Left Unsent by Lia Louis
4.0

Oh, how I look forward to a new emotional novel from Lia Louis. Dear Emmie Blue still has my heart.

About the book: “So many ways to torpedo your career and your love life…So little time.

A woman accidentally reveals all her secrets in this witty and charming novel from the author of Eight Perfect Hours.”

Millie’s story is in many ways my worst nightmare. Ever since she had heart broken in public, she has shut down and closed herself off to the world and her friends and family. She never stops writing, email drafts, and in those missives she holds nothing back. They are her truths and meant for her eyes only, until one day, they are no longer drafts and are sent by mistake. Millie is left to pick up the pieces and repair what she can and hopefully grow from the experience.

Overall, Better Left Unsent is exactly what I expect from Lia Louis, a feel good read that pulls on all my heartstrings. There’s lots of emotion, cute dynamics, sweet relationships, and endearing characters. I truly felt for Millie and could understand how she had closed herself off only to be forced to be an open book. It made me grateful I don’t use email drafts this way.
