The Death of Mrs. Westaway by Ruth Ware
4.0
For some reason, I was terrified the entire time I was reading this. Nevertheless, it kept me up until 3 am. Maybe because of the way it was written, maybe it was the characters, maybe it was the atmosphere, but what I know for sure is I was frantic.
This is my first Ruth Ware novel. The first sentence of the novel starts to build up suspension. It is set on a Gothic atmosphere and it definitely added on to the suspension.
The story builds up very slowly. I was very impatient to know what will happen. It was infuriating. But I absolutely loved the book. This was what I needed to jump back into a reading spree.
If you love thrillers, give this book a try. Better if you read it on a rainy, dark evening for a more fulfilling reading experience.
