Laurel Snow series
You definitely don't want to move to Genesis Valley. Although I'm pretty sure all the bad things happen because of people in Special Agent Laurel Snows life. Obviously her sister is certifiable and her father is a narcissist and rapist, likely murderer. We're introduced to a bevy of additional people in this book. We get to see the relationship between Laurel and Huck grow stronger. There is a lot going on with new murders eerily similar, but not quite to the Abbottcase. Buckle in, it's a bumpy chaotic ride to find the killer.
