Starting the year off with a grand adventure from the Shire to Mordor
Like:
- The characters!!! Rereading this I realized I underappreciated Sam. Wandering king, a mighty wizard, and an elf prince. Dwarfs, mortals and Hobbits have my heart
- I referenced the map alot and felt like I was part of the journey
- An adventurous read, where a group of individuals gather together for the greater good of Middle Earth
- Beautiful written descriptions and poems along the way
- How a small Hobbit is tasked with the heaviest burden
Dislike
- I love walking but there was a bit too much walking scenes
