5.0

Power Term is the concluding book in the Power Play Series of books by [a:Kennedy L. Mitchell|15505700|Kennedy L. Mitchell|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1542508144p2/15505700.jpg]. Randi Sawyer and Trey Benson get a splendid finale in this one.

Trigger Warning: Kidnapping, Torture, Violence

Warning: This is a series where the books are in continuation. If you haven’t read the previous books, then there may be SPOILERS in the following review.

Synopsis:
Trey Benson is late the one time when he should have been there. For Randi, because she goes missing. And he goes crazy thinking about all the bad things that could be happening to Randi. Who knew that the President could also be kidnapped?

Randi was never scared. Not once in her entire life. But being held hostage by a psychopath could be daunting, though it doesn't mean that she will let go of her grit or spunk! She knew that her knight in the black suit will always be there to save the President.

But, will Trey be able to reach her in time? And will they finally have their own version of happy ever after?

Review:
I know … more than two months have gone by since its release and now is when I am reviewing the ARC!?! But what to do, even after having finished reading the book within a few days of its release, I couldn't bring myself to write about Power Term. I wasn't ready to let go.

The cliff-hanger in the previous book was a killer one. And I was damn excited to read this one! It starts with a prologue from Randi's point of view. It is the final showdown!

This was one of the best concluding books in a series that I have ever read. It had drama, action, romance, it was sexy, heart-breaking, and all-round excellent in all the ways that mattered in a political romantic suspense.

It was one-of-a-kind genre, that I have ever laid my hands on. And that it provides a thrilling journey in the same breath is a big plus to the genius that Mitchell's writing is.

Randi Sawyer is back with her classic Randi-ism, especially when she is facing an enemy of the worst kind, someone whose murderously crazy ways we were introduced to in the previous book:
Even when you're are in danger, just think about how a random puddle would have been caused. If not from rainwater, then it would have to be a mighty big rat's pee.

Yep, that sentence, in the beginning, took the cake, as did so many others throughout the story. Narrated from dual perspectives in the first person, this book trumps all the ones before it with its tight-knit narrative and wonderful storytelling.

The villain we were introduced in Book Four is back in chilling focus, that deranged sick psycho. The identity reveal was totally unexpected. This was one of the most perfect romantic suspense I've read in a while. It had everything! It was intense, bone-chilling, blood-curdling drama. And I loved overprotective Trey.

But as they say, all good things come to an end. Though I kept hoping that even if it was "The End", that it was only for now. Exactly like the author mentioned. Even though I was damn curious, I still am, to know exactly what the author even mean by that? Because there was a sweet epilogue from Trey's point of view and it had a perfect ending. But my heart will always want more of Randi and Trey, and I will take whatever I get in the future.

Thank you to Wildfire Marketing Solutions for an e-ARC of the book.
