The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood
4.0
I really enjoyed this book. I am still on the fence of 4 or 4.5. This book was consistent in keeping my attention the entire time. LOVED that the author touched on the difficulties of women in male dominated fields. It had so many amazing tropes, fake dating, grumpy sunshine, etc. And the story revolving around graduate students, PhD scientists, and the world of academia was so unique and interesting.
As for characters, they were all very well written. Olive felt so real and relatable and I just loved her as a character. Adam was written so well and they encompass the grumpy sunshine trope to a T. He was just unique, and so sweet, and so protective of Olive in an actually healthy way that you don’t usually seen in romance books.
The reason this book didn’t get 5 stars from me was because the lack of proper communication led to like so many of their problems and it got to the point that I was about to lose my mind. I completely understand that in romance books the main issue usually does stem from the main characters not being honest about their true feelings but this was very very obvious in this book. Regardless I still absolutely loved it and would totally recommend.
