Faust: A Tragedy in Two Parts with the Urfaust
by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Moving rapidly from bawdy ditties to esoteric allegorical narrative with the occasional puncture of the fourth wall, this makes for a very dense, but enjoyable read. I'm probably going to need to read it again, possibly out loud as certain sections were difficult to keep pace with the narrative.
