The Other Emily by Dean Koontz

3.0

“Life is so fragile and uncertain that every daybreak is a miracle, almost a triumph.”

I am sad to report that this one was rather disappointing. The premise was great, there were some beautiful quotes, a few really good moments. But overall it was far from my favorite Koontz.

The main character was not likable. I don't always need a likable character, but I need the unlikability to serve a purpose or for their to be character growth. Here it seemed like he was supposed to be likable and just wasn't.

This also lacked Koontz's humor that I've come to love. I don't think I laughed out loud once while reading this.

Some good moments, but not a favorite.
