emotional funny relaxing medium-paced

Okay listen, I had such a fun time with this book at the beginning. But it stopped being funny and became more of a chore to read by the end. And that's not the fault of the serious chapters. Just in generally it became kinda sluggish toward the end.
I would have given this 4 stars, but I'm genuinely angry that we don't get to know what's inside that little neighbor girl's room. Like when I read that chapter I was so intrigued, and then I was so excited to get to the part when we would finally find out what's in her room, but we never find out. I even flipped back through the entire book, thinking I'd missed something. I'm genuinely disappointed that I'll never know what was in that girl's room.
