Without a doubt the crispest and easiest five star review I've given in probably at least a year.

This book slayed so absolutely it made me wish I could go back in time to read it again for the first time because it had me laughing so hard . Every character in this is an absolute delight - yes, even Thomas. Galen is an absolute brick of a man in every sense of the word. Piper is god's most sopping wet and overworked meowmeow (with an iron spine) and he deserves ten thousand kisses. I need to put them both in a jar and SHAKE it.

At no point was the introspection in this annoying, which is truly an impressive writing skill for T. Kingfisher to possess. This book honestly was the perfect balance of brooding, pining, brute strength, cutting wit, and mystery, all with a beautiful sprinkling of unresolved sexual tension sprinkled in for fun.
