Did not finish book. Stopped at 39%.
so extremely extremely boring
i checked spoiler reviews to see if it was worth it but i cld not go on .. i guessed the plot twist but even if i didn’t i think i would’ve dnf’d after the twist reveal, literally just spousal issues n alcoholism disguised as a ‘thriller’, i mean ig it is a domestic thriller, but i expected ..more? from a hyped book
how does one even go from vanessa to nellie dumb asf
the plot was somewhat slow moving but it did grip me *sometimes*, the characters were fine? i didn’t care for any of them other than sometimes pitying vanessa, i did like the writing tho, how it tries to misdirect, n can shove you into a flashback without warning
if i held out for longer it might’ve been ok but can’t see this getting any higher than 3
