The Matchmaker and the Marquess by Scarlett Scott

4.0

Enemies to lovers, betrothal of convenience and decisive courtship that becomes something more. Clearly part of a larger set of simultaneous stories, but readable on its own… fairly clean with only one love scene (epilogue).
Readable, even if the author peppers in some fancy language and high-falutin words occasionally.
Curious to read the rest of the series, even if I’m not a fan of some of the other characters. (Nearly all side characters, who clearly feature in their own love stories in the other books, were written negatively, or at least in a way that doesn’t set me up to root for them)…
