A Thousand Broken Pieces
by Tillie Cole
Whilst I wouldn’t say that this book was better than “A thousand boy kisses” it was still amazing. Either way it would have been hard to top the first book since I remember it as one of my favourite books. However, “A thousand broken pieces” was still heartbreaking and really touched me. I loved the relationship between Savannah and Cael and the way they helped each other overcome their grief to have a better future together. One thing I will say though, is that a lot of things were repeated unnecessarily. It often felt like I was reading pages I had already read multiple times before and the book could’ve been much shorter. For the last 100 pages I was just wishing to finally be able to finish the book. Apart from that, the book was great. I unfortunately didn’t cry since I was surrounded by family members the whole time whilst reading it and simply felt like the tears were unable to appear. Heartbreaking nonetheless and I felt like it clearly showed the fight with grief and how all-consuming it can become.
