Good grief. I gave the first one five stars and this one is better. There is no place to go.
The story in this book wasn't quite as subtle as the one in the first book, but what it lacked in subtlety it made up for in humor, action, and a more in depth reveal of the supernatural aspects of the world.
It's still paranormal romance, but the historic element added with the quality of writing set this series apart.
