Smoke and Mirrors: Short Fiction and Illusions by Neil Gaiman

3.0

Hmmmmmmm. This is very much Gaiman-in-the-eighties-nineties. An overabundance of male gaze, sometimes overly horny stories, and then, among them, wonderful little gems.
He's so good at ideas and concepts and dreams, I'm weak. I consider Gaiman a guilty pleasure, at times, I guess.

The best stories in this collection were, without a doubt (even if they had their hmm-moments as well):

Chivalry
Nicholas Was...
Troll Bridge
Murder Mysteries
Snow, Glass, Apples

I also liked the tarot card collection of vampire stories. The rest was, you know, mostly just there. Ups and downs.
