I’m not saying it’s a work of art—the plot was fairly simple and the resolution even more so. However, I love a good Hades & Persephone retelling, and this was indeed a good one. Both main characters were well-developed, and St. Clair took her time building their relationship. Even with some of the usual romance tropes, and the lack of side character development, it was a very enjoyable and easy read.
