The Reno by Maggie Grant
5.0
This was SO SWEET! I fell in love with the cover the second I saw it, and I love a small town and a renovation?? And it was so perfect and messy and full of so much LOVE. I’ve been reading a little slower lately but it was so nice to really savor this!!
I loved Kat so much. I loved how Maggie wrote her ADHD, we were able to see her struggling and working so hard to make things for her and it wasn’t perfect but she was making it work for her. I also loved how easily Liam was able to pick up on the little things to really help Kat without being over bearing. Even before they were really in a relationship the give and take between them was so beautiful.
I truly loved everything about Kat. She was FUNNY! And had so much to give! She just wanted to be seen by her mother. She wanted closure after her dad’s death, she wanted answers as to why he left her. She came back to the town he grew up in, the place he promised one day they would be happy again, and she was SO SCARED to be rejected. But she was met with so much LOVE. By her family, by Liam!! She found exactly what she was looking for her and I loved watching her do it!!
LIAM! The grumpiest man in town who is ALSO THE SOFTEST MAN IN TOWN. He folded the second Kat showed up and I loved every single thing about it. He was so sweet and he listened SO WELL. He pushed Kat to follow her dreams! But he never pressured her! He also made sure she knew his life in Everly Heath was a nonnegotiable, so while he wanted her to stay, if she couldn’t he DID understand. They were honestly so good!!
I cannot wait to be back in Everly Heath!!
Thank you so much to Maggie Grant for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!
