The Golden Couple
by Greer Hendricks, Sarah Pekkanen
A unique psychological thriller and drama that is told in two perspectives between a therapist with unconventional methods and one of her clients, a wife who has committed infidelity and wants to mend her relationship with her husband.
This book kept me interested throughout with many unreliable characters and a couple bigger twists. You do not know who to trust and will spend the novel trying to determine if there is a bad guy and who is it. Overall, the writing is done incredibly well and I loved the characters and the dynamic between the two narrators. It was a fun and intriguing read.
As with most thrillers, I was a little disappointed in how easy the author attempted to tie the story together. It is not the cleanest conclusion and there is not a lot of clues throughout that will lead you to the ending culprit, making it feel uncreative and forced. I enjoy books that leave the smallest clues throughout and a big twist at the end but this book just didn't do that for me. None the less, you should pick this book up and prepare for a roller coaster of a ride in this entertaining, quick read.
