The Bookshop on the Corner by Jenny Colgan
At first, I loved it.
Then when the Romance part happened, my interest slowly faded. As someone who doesn’t like the ennemies to lovers trope, it’s a big nay for me. This reading is also one of the few ones where I didn’t like the protagonist’s character… Nina was a bit annoying, to me. But, really, it’s more of a personal taste than a statement that this book is bad. It depends on the reader, ig.
However, if we put the Romance aside, i adored the descriptive paragraphs about Kirrinfief. When I picked up this reading, I wanted to escape somewhere where everything is turning out good at the end, and I found it. So overall, I enjoyed my reading. ☻
