This book was amazing. I had the pleasure of meeting Shane at a World Vision conference last year while on a urban partnership. He is one of the most humble, loving, and wise people I have ever met. He speaks simply but you learn so much from what he has to say. So much of this book is common sense that has been drowned out by the noise of our me-first culture. Shane has had some amazing experiences and at all times remains humble, funny, and speaks the truth in love. I would recommend this book to everyone. It was amazing. I have read some of his work before and I look forward to reading more of it. Shane Claiborne has been one of the main figures in helping me to take my Christianity seriously and to act on it, going out into the world to help others and to build community.
