The Lies That Bind
by Emily Giffin
I did not really like this book.
Here's why:
1) I don't like things set around 9/11. Sorry. I don't know who needs to hear this, but it's still too soon for most people. Stop it.
2) This feels like so many other books I've read about complicated love relationships. A lot like Ghosted by Rosie Walsh. I also think the whole Grant-faking-his-death-because-he's-a-criminal thing came out of nowhere.
3) Once Rachel/Ethan/Darcy were introduced, I spent the rest of the book trying to figure out where this fit into the Something Borrowed timeline.
I still contend that Something Borrowed is the best book Emily Giffin has ever written.
