The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides

5.0

When i tell you i had to take a moment and lie down when i figured out what happened.
It's hard to believe this is a debut novel. It was just so, smart. As soon as i finished it things began to click like "okay that is why THAT happened." The story comes full circle really. And i particularly enjoy these shorter format of chapters. It's both thoughtful and devious on the author's part. Thoughtful because you get these little joys that "great i finished another chapter I'm really killing it" and devious because you're like "okay one more one more one more." This is definitely going to be a re-read book for me. And that is probably the highest pedestal in my book rating system.
