The Silver Eyes
by Kira Breed-Wrisley, Scott Cawthon
This is coming as a fan of the FNAF games, and as an avid reader of horror.
As a FNAF fan, this book is excellent for linking the lore between games. It would likely make far less sense to someone who hadn't already put hours into learning the secrets of Freddy's. But it is hard for me to tell for sure. I did find that the emphasis on one animatronic (Foxy) to be a bit irrelevant to the plot in comparison to, say, Freddy. But that truthfully is my only complaint. This would definitely be a great introduction to horror writing for young people. It is tense without being a constant barrage of terror, and the descriptions were vivid without being distasteful. Not only that, but there were pockets of humour to balance the atmosphere. I really enjoyed reading The Silver Eyes, a quick read but a very satisfying one.
