Veiled in Stars and Silver by J. Ann Curtis

5.0

“Veiled in Stars and Silver” was my first experience with J. Ann Curtis’ writing style, and I have to say that it was a pretty fantastic book!

Peter Pan isn’t one of my favorite fairytales, but something about this book caught my attention, so I decided to give it a chance - and I am so glad I did!

In this version of events, Wendy Darling is an adult, and she is determined to return to Neverland to rescue her brothers, who have been trapped there for years.

This book is mostly told from the POVs of two characters: Wendy Darling and Captain James Hook, with the occasional chapter from the POV of Peter Pan.

I really loved J. Ann Curtis’ twist on Peter Pan. James and Wendy were both such interesting characters, and I loved how their relationship developed over the course of the novel.

The plot twists in this book were absolutely amazing, as well! I truly enjoyed everything about this book, and I would definitely be willing to reread it in the future! “Veiled in Stars and Silver” is the perfect read if you love a good fairytale retelling.
