A fun start to the year. I think this is better than Elantris, but not as good as the Mistborn Era 1 Trilogy. I thought the magic system was very cool and unique, and I enjoyed many of the characters. But, at least in this instance, the famous "Sanderlanche" works against this book as it all comes out in the last 50 - 100 pages (the story ultimately not being fully wrapped in the Epilogue, but I wait to pass this judgement until an eventual sequel book comes out) to tie everything in the story together.
Despite all these flaws, this was certainly a great read and a fine addition to the Cosmere.
