I inhaled this one! Faster-paced and with a lot more development in terms of plot, it managed to capture and hold my attention while taking me through a rollercoaster of emotions.
Mo Ran had so much character development! Chu Wanning as well. It feels like a true slow burn from a lot of standpoints. I enjoyed the side characters too, though it felt like we only got to see them a little in this volume.
Something fishy though is going on in terms of plot, and I intend to find out why! I feel like there will be a lot of angst coming in the next volume considering the end of this one and I'm not sure I'm prepared.
