Rodham by Curtis Sittenfeld

4.0

When I started this book, I had my reservations. I read negative reviews about the book that had me on my guard. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it! I love how the author sheds light into how hard it is for a woman to run for president when it’s such a male dominated field. In the book, Hillary had to endure A LOT in order to prove herself, and it felt like the author portrayed Bill Clinton as a mild (emphasis on mild) Donald Trump. This book was heavily researched by autobiographies written by Hillary Clinton herself and it almost made the story feel real.

I don’t know if it sounds crazy, but this fictional story made me support Hillary Clinton even more, and I hope our society one day will be less sexist and finally elect a female president!
