The Wicked King

Omg. This was so good.
I liked this definitely better than The Cruel Prince. Jude and Cardan are the best.
“Kiss me until I am sick of it.”
I love those two soooo much.
“And the single last thing in my head: that I like him better than I've ever liked anyone and that of all the things he's ever done to me, making me like him so much is by far the worst."
Jude has bound Cardan to an obedience oath to her and put him on the throne. She is now in control of Faerie--and she loves it. Power is what she craved all through The Cruel Prince, and she’s finally got it.
But Jude still has plenty to worry about. The oath will end in a year and a day, and Jude will lose the power she loves; Cardan is being as uncooperative as he can; The Undersea seems to be forming some sort of sinister plan; and Jude learns someone close to her has betrayed her.
The book slowly picked up speed, leading to a heart-racing conclusion. It was even more shocking/exciting/awesome/suspenseful/rage-inducing than the first. I can't wait for The Queen of Nothing!
“Power is much easier to acquire than it is to hold on to.”
