The Mask of Dimitrios
by Eric Ambler
3.5⭐️
This was an enjoyable and well-paced read, the second-half definitely flew by and kept me interested! Latimer’s character is likeable having an intelligent and dry air about him, he develops an immunity to naivety and we see some sense of his moral compass and his motivations. There are twists, arguably slightly predictable, but definitely not cheap. A good read and packed with literary and historical references. I’m looking forward to exploring more of Ambler’s works!
