I feel...disappointed.
Idk I already finished reading The Selection & The Elite & I really liked the queen Amberly in it. She was such an elegant character in those books. When people talked about her, how she was a four, but ended up being a queen, it was nice to read it. She had such an impact. I was curious to know her love story.
Her romance development with Clarkson felt like a Wattpad story written by a 12 year old. But let's be honest, everyone sounds stupid when they're young & in love so let's forget about it. But the main reason she was loved as a queen was not only because she was elegant. Being a queen, acting like a one, being independent, taking decisions, owning up to them & all those qualities were the reason. But here she's just the "If you tell me to stand with one leg, I'll happily stand with one leg until I die" type of person. Yes I understand Clarkson was like an idol to her cuz she's used to seeing him on the TV & fangirling over him but GURL you should have some dignity.
Also Clarkson drives me mad. Out of all the reasons he likes her for what?
Cuz she does whatever he wants, doesn't oppose him & he can use her the way she wants? That's some pathetic shit right there.

I kinda wish I didn't read this, so the queen Amberly would remain as a legend in mind. I'm just disappointed now.
