The Rosie Effect by Graeme Simsion

2.0

Book is a bit of a disappointment. I still liked Don, but now really dislike Rosie.

Spoiler She doesn't let him have any input on getting pregnant - she stops taking birth control without discussing it with him. I think this is pretty unforgivable - even more so in this instance because of Don's need for stability. Then she decides he'll be a terrible father mostly because he tries to tell her how to take care of herself and the baby. She doesn't explain to him how he was making her feel, she just acted like a teenager and did the opposite of what he suggests. Then she decides to leave him. I guess I'm glad they work it out in the end, but I think Rosie is the much bigger problem in their relationship than Don. She became completely unlikable in this book.
