Alice the Dagger by Ashley McLeo

3.75

A retelling of Alice in Wonderland with faeries and other weird things? I read the blurb and I was in, hoping this would pick the world created by Lewis Carroll and make it make sense, in a way.
Well, it did not do that, but it delivered an intriguing adventure in a weird word that I enjoyed much more than expected. The only two downsides to this were the pacing that felt a bit uneven to me and the possibly budding love story that I was not sold on.
All in all, a book with a lot of potencial (that ended up being a bit lacking) and which made me want to read the sequel ASAP.
