“Everything about Reagan is a bad idea. She’s strings, and I’m the scissors. She’s perseverance, and I’m ruin.”

Jesse King (Legacy) is a member of a motorcycle club and a single dad. Living the lifestyle that he does, he understandably has trust issues with anyone that will potentially be around his young daughter, Bea. Reagan unexpectedly shows up at the compound to help their sick nanny, her aunt, as well as put distance between herself and her own issues back home. Jesse immediately tries to push her away and fights his attraction for her, but it becomes increasingly difficult the longer she stays. As with most Motorcycle Club Romance, the plot is a little dark, so definitely check your triggers, but this was a really good one. I read it in one day because I couldn’t put it down!

I have a bunch of books by this author on my TBR, including the earlier books in this series, but this was my first one. I’m a mood reader so I tend to bounce around a lot. Did I jump into the middle of this series with this book? Yes. Did I feel lost because I didn’t know the background from some of the couples? No. Do I now want to go back and read the previous books? ABSOLUTELY. The author did a really good job of giving a quick recap of the previous couples without giving so much detail that it was overwhelming or making me feel like I didn’t need/want to still read their individual stories. I will definitely be reading the rest.
