I read this book with grade two students during their unit on water. We talked about how hot and sticky it can be, especially if you do not have air conditioning. The kids were fixated on how the moms’ outfits matched their daughters. I also had to explain what pantyhose was....the kids though it was underwear that the moms were removing.
