The Drunkard's Walk: How Randomness Rules Our Lives
by Leonard Mlodinow
This book was a bit of a struggle to get through. Lots of anecdotes that at times were very technical and mathematical. If you enjoy probability and statistics you will have an easier time following along. When Mlodinow stepped out of his anecdotal writing he was able to bring the context back in a powerful summary with each chapter that moved the book along. My favorite quote- "success is under our control: the number of at bats, the number of chances taken, the number of opportunities seized. For even a coin weighted toward failure will sometimes land on success."
