I've had this book on my shelf for a decade. I remember picking it up once, reading a chapter and then deciding not to read it. But I could not remember why. Now I remember.

Why on earth would you write a book from a single character's perspective but change the narrative back and forth between first and second person perspectives?! 

If you enjoy dark fantasy, this might be for you. I am clearly too soft because I just wanted to give Nathan a hug. Poor baby didn't deserve all the abuse.

I do want to watch the netflix adaptation now though.
