On Guard by J.R. Gray, Andi Jaxon

5.0

Consumed me

Another win by Andi Jaxon for me, and a first for J.R. Gray. I started this late yesterday and could barely put it down. Was forced to so I could get some sleep, and immediately picked it back up when I woke up.

Loved Isaac and Oliver. The tension, the spice, the dirty talk, the obsession, and the possessiveness. It was amazing. Colin and Owen were fantastic side characters. Owen was hilarious and so lost. Colin was out there and proud. Loved how open he was. (Super excited for their story.)

This was emotional, which I expected from Andi Jaxon. My heart broke so much for Isaac, but I was happy he found his way. It was a rough and painful ride, but it was worth it. Oliver was perfect for him. His controlling nature could be a bit much, but I think Isaac needed it. And Oliver needed Isaac to be true to himself.

I loved this and can’t wait for the next one.
