this is what happens when a book forgets to make you care. like i genuinely couldn’t care less about these characters, esp the fmc. give me one reason to root for her. just one. the dialogue is also so corny i had to stop every chapter like girl wtf is this. a tame example: “land diving (or as the normies call it, gymnastics)” …ok girl

the “nuance” of their relationship was spoon-fed. the café scene where pen interviews her about bdsm and she explains like she’s reading from a handbook was weird.

and the spicy scenes eventually all blurred together for me. by the end, i felt like i’d read the same scene five times.

this book could’ve been 200 pages shorter and we would’ve gotten the vibe
