The Decision by Piper Scott

3.0

This one felt very different from the rest of the series. There was a lot more focus on the two protagonists' families: Harlow and his daughter, and Simon and his brothers and nephew. I ended up really liking that, and tended to grow impatient when the focus switched back to the relationship between Harlow and Simon - I preferred reading about Evie, Shep, Jayne and Parker (and of course the Single Dad Support Group chats!!)
Especially Jayne and Parker were adorable, and I can't wait to continue with Jayne's book.

Harlow and Simon have a backstory, and their chemistry is evident from the very beginning even before they meet, but they ended up being very sexual. This, however, isn't unique to them - the entire series is very sex-based.
That said, all sex scenes are very well written, and while Harlow and Simon are by far the ones with the roughest and imo kinkiest sex, the scenes were enjoyable to read.

I was however majorly bothered by how none of the characters even talked about any of the important things. There were no big misunderstandings, and for the most part they did talk about their feelings, but.... huge conversations just... didn't happen???
SpoilerEvie running away?? Shep being insanly talented to the point he infiltrated and shut down a heavily secured venue with nobody knowing how he managed and not getting caught???
