I started and abandoned this as an audiobook when it first came out because I HATED the protagonist, but I was bored so I gave it another go as a physical read in case I just hated the narrator. Yes and no. A truly unlikable male lead, who does ultimately find _some_ redemption. I couldn't say I enjoyed it though because it just made me feel very sad and not even in a good way really.
