Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin

5.0

This book was relevant and deep, and it forced me to reflect on inner self versus outer self, and trauma and healing in a way that isn’t at all heavy handed or oppressive. It’s beautifully written, but accessible because of its plot, which, boiled down, is the story of two friends who make video games and the explosion of passion, adventure, despair, and anger that comprises their stories.

It is worth a reread after a few months. There are lessons, reflections, and observations woven seamlessly into the story about identity and expression that don’t evoke extreme emotions like tears or laughter, but tug gently yet firmly at some deeper chord of humanity within the reader.
