The Best Man
by Winter Renshaw
I highly- HIGHLY recommended this.( y’all know I don’t recommend books I don’t believe in).
This audiobook has been glaring me in YouTube for sometime now and I brushed off since it’s a cliché title and ugly cover. But I had studied all day yesterday so I decided even a mediocre entertainment is welcomed.
This book is NOT a mediocre story. I hadn’t read the synopsis but I liked the narrators enough to go ahead.
This has the most insane turns and twists on its two protagonists. Yes you could predict their connection with Grant (third party) but that’s it. I really liked the premise and how it doesn’t have overly sexual components in it. Two fated souls so perfect for one another I was convinced from the get go that they belonged together.
4 stars bc I think the bff part of the story is out of loop or unfinished. Like he went out of their life without any big consequences or even confrontation and that’s what’s missing here. I’d love to see Grant publicly shamed and humiliated regarding his intentions with Bree.
Nevertheless, this book was an unexpected wonderful surprise. It was a great reward for my gruelling study hours.
