This is a book that snuck up on me and really surprised me with how enjoyable it was. Mezrich managed to write an engaging mix of perspectives and stories surrounding the GameStop short squeeze that also taught me how the stock market worked. I don’t know what I expected when I started this book but I didn’t think that I would sucked into a story about Reddit and the stock market. I really appreciated that Mezrich told the story of several underdogs which reflected the entire movement behind the short squeeze.
