I listened to the audiobook. The narrators were great and tried to bring life to the writing however the plot seemed very basic and obits for a three-book Romantasy series. I couldn’t get past the simple writing style and obvious plot line.  The “banter” between the MMC and FMC was atrocious and the dual POV was a lot of rehashing the same moment over four chapters. I think this story had potential to be very interesting but maybe more limited POV switches or giving the reader something to get our teeth into with the tension between the MMC and the King, or the MMC and the Crown Prince. . I think that would’ve been better used if there was less POV switching. Not my cup of tea.
